Canyon Outdoor Movie Night - Saturday July 12

         It’s Canyon Outdoor Movie Night!

Saturday, July 12th   8:00 PM - FREE

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, coolers and snacks
to the Silverado Community Center Park.

What’s Playing: American Graffiti

An American classic, 1973, Directed by George Lucas.  If you haven’t seen it you need to, teens and pre-teens will benefit by seeing an era other than their own. (Like totally they need to expand their horizons.)

SYNOPSIS:  It's the last night of the summer in the 1950s before Curt (Richard Dreyfuss) and his good friend Steve (Ron Howard) have to leave their small town and start college. Throughout a night of cruising, drag racing, fights, and picking up girls, punctuated by popular music of the time, they both struggle with whether or not they have made the right decision and confront the reality of approaching adulthood. Meanwhile, the rest of their friends, including Steve's girlfriend and Curt's sister Laurie (Cindy Williams), also are faced with their departure and begin to consider the course their own lives are taking. Charles Martin Smith, Harrison Ford, Wolfman Jack, Kathleen Quinlan, and Mackenzie Phillips co-star, with a memorable cameo by Suzanne Somers.
