39th Annual Country Fair & Art Festival

Saturday October 3 & Sunday October 4, 10:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday night Music ‘n Dancin’ in Silverado Canyon Park
Saturday morning “UN” parade, 9:00am, all-day musicians, arts & crafts, food booths, kids games, contests and of course Jail! Lots of  Fun for everyone.
Admission $4 Adults/$2 kids under 12
Sat night music $5 everyone
YA’LL come now!

Silverado Children's Center

Enroll now! Pre-school ages 2-5yrs from 9:00am - 3:00pm 
After-school care  ages 5–12 yrs.
 

From 8:00am—6:00pm
We now offer transportation from Trabuco Elementary School.  There is also an OUSD-Chapman Hills school bus pick-up/drop-off at Silverado School. 

Structured curriculum and learning activities, supervised play, holiday celebrations. Field trips too!  NAEYC Accredited teaching environment with low teacher-child ratio.

Canyon Hikes - Let's Go For A Hike!

Silverado Saturday Mornings
For beginner to advanced hikers, locals and visitors to hike the Silverado Canyon Mesa Loop Trail. Some elevation at the start, levels out to a mellow/flat wide open trail. Hike at your own pace and earn a no-host breakfast at the Silverado Café after the hike. Meet at 8 am Oct., Nov., Dec.  on 2nd & 4th Saturdays, starts  Oct 10th. Park on street adjacent to Silverado Café parking lot, hike takes about 2.5 hours.  No dogs due to owner’s request to respect wildlife/natural environment. Heavy rain cancels.

For all hikes - Bring plenty of water, a head cover, personal first-aid supplies, emergency contact info, and familiarize yourself with the inherent dangers of the trails such as snakes, poisen oak, etc.

Silverado Adult Art Class

Tuesdays 4:45pm - 7:00 pm - Cost $55 per session

October 5 - November 16 (check with instructor for dates after that) Classes held at Silverado Community Center.

Learn water colors, drawing, the color wheel sketching, basic design concepts and more!  Students provide their own supplies.  Work outside, practice at home between classes.

Children's Dance Class

Modjeska Community Center - October 19 - May 20

Music & Movement pre-schoolers, ages 2-4 Wednesdays 9:30am - 10:15amChildren learn an appreciation for dance through fun musical activities.
$30 month/$10 per drop-in.

Jazz - levels 1 & 2, ages 5-up, Thursday 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Jazz dancing for new and beginning level students.
$35 month/$10 per drop in.

Jazz - level 3, ages 9-13, Monday 3:00 - 4:30pm
A more advanced class for dancers with previous dance-movement experience.
$55 month or $15 per drop-in.

Ballet levels 2 & 3, ages 6-13,Tuesday 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Ballet for dancers with some previous experience.
$35 month /$10 per drop-in.

VINYASA YOGA

Yoga Flow, Level 1-2 Tuesday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Uses a fluid series of poses with an emphasis on breath to build flexibility and strength. Focus is on proper alignment and structure to understand the basic practice of yoga and its benefits - toning, stress reduction and relaxation.

Fee: $120 per 12 class session
Drop-ins welcome at $12 per session

Introduction to Yoga, Tuesday 7:30pm - 8:30pm
A very easy introduction to yoga with basic movements and stretches.
Fee: $10 per session.

A very easy introduction to yoga with basic movements and stretches.

Relaxation and meditation follows from 7:15pm to 7:45 pm. $5 per session.

You saw it July 4th, here's your opportunity to join the fun! Hula-hooping burns calories, spares the knees, is fun and easy! If you have a hoop bring it - there are 8 to loan. This class is for those women/men 18 yrs and older who want a low impact workout & move to groovy music. Starts with Healthy Steps-Lebed Method warm-ups to promote flexibility & uses hula hoops for cardio. Dress comfortably, bring water.
